Company
Rock Solid Images is an industry leader in the integration of fundamental rock physics with well data and surface seismic in order to interpret geophysical signatures in terms of reservoir properties such as lithology, porosity and saturation.
We were founded in November 1998, though the merger of The Discovery Bay Company, Seismic Research Corporation and PetroSoft, Inc. and became part of the OHM Group in August 2007. Since inception, we have performed in excess of 1,000 service projects for a broad range of customers including national oil-companies, majors, super-majors and larger independents.

- June 7 - Dr. M. Turhan (Tury) Taner was presented EAGE's Erasmus Award in Paris, France at the annual meeting. This award was presented in recognition of fundamental and outstanding contributions, particularly in the fields of seismic velocities, seismic attributes, reflection and refraction statics computations, plane wave processing and imaging systems, rock physics and Q estimation methods.

2003
- October 22 - Rock Solid Images announced a new research project to further investigate the use of multiple seismic attributes, attenuation, and rock-physics for direct hydrocarbon detection and drilling risk reduction. The new project, named “LFP” for Lithology and Fluid Prediction, merges two existing industry sponsored projects, the Seismic Attribute Consortium and the Q-Project, which Rock Solid Images has successfully run for a number of years.
